Discover the partnership between Boule de coton and Graine de Baobab
Boule de coton supports Graine de baobab by donating 1% of its sales to the association
1% of Boule de Coton sales will support the creation of organic vegetable gardens in schools around eastern central Burkina Faso, one of the poorest countries in the world, with the association Graine de Baobab www.grainedebaobab.org
A way to educate students, their teachers and parents about a production method that respects the health of humans, animals and our planet while increasing productivity.
Creating a prosperous and sustainable garden, using organic methods allows:
- to combat the malnutrition of schoolchildren by improving the quality and nutritional variety of school meals and thus promote healthy living and eating habits
- to introduce practical knowledge of organic gardening
- to introduce children to ecology by teaching them how to produce food without using pesticides
- to open the possibility of income-generating activities and thus fight against poverty
Why choose Graine de Baobab ?
Created in 2004, Graine de Baobab is an officially recognised non-profit organisation. It carries out sustainability projects with local representatives, in several villages in eastern central Burkina Faso. Graine de baobab is an organisation composed mainly of volunteers. Hence we are certain that all donations will be used appropriately, which is often not the case when supporting large associations.
Graine de Baobab works in Burkina Faso. It is one of the poorest countries in Africa and the second largest producer of organic cotton in Africa.
The schools vegetable gardens project aims to improve the nutrition of children and their families but also to give them sufficient knowledge to cultivate the land using organic methods. We are confident that the children involved in this project will become responsible adults, respectful of the land and ready to move towards organic cotton farming!
